SUNDAY SERMONS

Shalom, people of God.

Let our Living Almighty God shower you with everlasting love, compassion, grace, and mercy, and meet all your needs in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name. Amen

Today’s Message: ” Have a pure motive and godly purpose in all your requests.”

“Then Peter and John laid their hands on them [one by one], and they received the Holy Spirit. Now, when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money, saying, “Give me this authority and power too, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” But Peter said to him, “May your money be destroyed along with you, because you thought you could buy the [free] gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this matter because your heart (motive, purpose) is not right before God. So repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, this thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are provoked by bitterness and bound by sin.” Acts‬ ‭8‬:‭17‬-‭23‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“What leads to [the unending] quarrels and conflicts among you? Do they not come from your [hedonistic] desires that wage war in your [bodily] members [fighting for control over you]? You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God]. You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Inspiration
-Beloved, know that God has no problem answering your prayers nor giving you whatever you ask from Him, but He carefully considers your motive and purpose in your request.

-Remember; it is God’s will to answer you when you call as He promised in His word (Jeremiah 33:3; Psalms 50:15) and to give you whatever you ask (Matthew 7:7-11;John 14:13-14); but why you are asking and for whose glory; it counts before the Lord’s sight.

-See Simon the former Sorcerer; although he was asking for power; but his motive and purpose were both wrong; he was not seeking God’s glory at all; rather he wanted his own name to be more known and glorified; but Peter rebuked him; saying his heart was not right before God; it was full of envy and jealousy .

-Examine your motive and purpose in all your request; let all you ask from the Lord be for His Kingdom advancement and for His own glory and not yours; therefore don’t strive to be famous; don’t try to impress people; but be humble and let God use you.

-Beloved; always remember that in this world what matters the most is not what God does in your life but what He does with your life, therefore let your life be an instrument in God’s hands.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your salvation, goodness, and mercy upon my life. Holy Spirit, help me to have a pure motive and godly purpose in all my prayer requests; let all that I am and do in this world be for the glory of God in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name. Amen

You are blessed and a chosen temple of God.

Have a blessed and most fruitful day.

We love you more in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
